Tock Chess is built for children ages 4–7, so we keep things simple and private. We do not collect personal information from you or your child.

What we collect

Nothing personal. Tock Chess does not ask for a name, email address, phone number, photo, or location. There are no accounts to create and no logins.

Where your child's progress is stored

Your child's learning progress — which pieces they've met, which games they've played, and which characters they've collected — is stored only on your device. It is not sent to us or to anyone else. Deleting the app removes this information.

No ads, no tracking

Tock Chess contains no third-party advertising and no analytics or tracking software. We do not build profiles, we do not use cookies, and we do not share information with data brokers or advertisers. We do not knowingly collect any data covered by the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

Purchases

Tock Chess offers an optional subscription that unlocks additional content. Purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment details. Apple's handling of your purchase is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Links and outside content

Any links intended for grown-ups (such as managing a subscription) lead to Apple. Tock's Chess does not contain a web browser or open third-party websites within the app for children.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change how the app handles information, we will update this page and revise the date above.
